Grants for freshman students 2012-2013

The Spanish Bankers Association (AEB), through the Spanish Bankers Foundation for Financial Studies, sponsors this grant programme for freshman students at the University College of Financial Studies (CUNEF) during the academic year 2012 - 2013 for the purpose of fostering access to university education and research in all spheres of learning and activity related to finance. This official announcement of a grant and financial aid programme aims to identify and reward academic excellence and research in university education specialised in finance.

GRANTS FOR FRESHMAN STUDENTS OF UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE STUDIES.


Aimed at freshman students for the purpose of fostering and rewarding academic excellence and of facilitating access to the university education specialised in finance provided by CUNEF. Grants are awarded on the basis of the previous academic record of the student. The following grants and financial aid awards are announced for academic year 2012-2013:

  • Grants for Excellence, which include CUNEF tuition fees and financial assistance of €3,000, for accommodation and maintenance for students who have been admitted to CUNEF as undergraduate degree students and who can accredit a previous grade in PAU (the school year prior to university) that is among the top twenty in the country.
  • Partial grants for up to a maximum of 80% of the academic fees, targeted at candidates who are undergraduate students admitted to degree studies at CUNEF who can demonstrate an average grade of 11.9 or higher out of 14 in the Spanish university entrance examinations

What is the procedure for obtaining a study grant awarded by CUNEF?

1) Participate in the admission process and be admitted to CUNEF as an undergraduate university degree student.
2) Apply for the study grant by presenting the duly completed application form, attach the documents requested and comply with the academic standards required in the specifications of the grant.
3) In order to receive a study grant, it is a pre-requisite to have concluded in due time and form the procedures for registration as a student at the Complutense University of Madrid and at CUNEF. Grants must be formally accepted. It is not possible to be the beneficiary of more than one grant or one concession of financial aid for studies.

CUNEF students, as students of the Complutense University of Madrid, may also request any public grants announced by the Ministry of Education, by the Autonomous Communities or by local authorities. They may also apply for grants provided by private entities and institutions.

Resolutions in respect of grants are adopted by the committee appointed for that purpose by the governing body of CUNEF. No appeals or claims against the resolution of the committee will be accepted. For further information in respect of this announcement of grants, please contact:
