The Administration and Financial Control Department of CUNEF is the area responsible for carrying out the functions of to budget control, finance, administration and accounting: additionally, it originates, negotiates, manages and controls all contract for small contracting works, supplies and services, amongst others; and carries out the asset and inventory management for the centre.

The department is organised around the provision of the following services:

 

 

  • Financial services:

The purpose is to reflect the financial activity of CUNEF by carrying the accounting records of income, expenditure, budget implementation, and the cash position.

The main functions:

  1. Preparing the Budget
  2. Controlling budgeted expenditure
  3. Managing and collecting income and accounts receivable.
  4. Preparing the financial statements and other financial information.
  5. Completing tax returns for CUNEF.
  6. Making payments, maintaining insurance policies and attending suppliers.
  7. Cash management.
  8. Attending to auditors and inspectors
  • Administrative Services:

The mission of this area is to ensure due process and control in performing the procedures for the following five sections:

  1. Contracts: managing and administrating the procedures for entering into contracts for small contracting works, the maintenance of installations, purchases, supplies and services. Providing information and justification for the contracts.
  2. Inventory: up to date maintenance of buildings and property assets belonging to the University.
  3. University services: administrative management, logistics and control of all the services used by the University community (cafeteria, reprographics, etc.), and control of outsourced services.
  4. Employees: Perform all the administrative management under supervision of and in coordination with Management in relation to employment contracts, payrolls, social security mutual societies and employment relations with all employees.
  5. Students: administrative management and control of payments, collections and invoicing of all CUNEF students (undergraduate, postgraduate, and master programmes).
